The Awesomeness of People

I just was thinking today how there are people in my life that are truly Awesome....like the true meaning of Awesome, in comparison to the great creations & wonders in the universe ...I guess it is no wonder as truly God has a hand in it :). I just am amazed how a touch on the shoulder, a hug, eye contact, a sympathetic smile, a giggle, a brilliant light of excitement from a pair of hopeful eyes, a sincere thank you and a warm acceptance of who you are. What an amazing power people have, and how grateful I am to have such amazing people in my life -- to have joy in and with in this journey of life.

Oh The Places I've Been

I have been organizing my files and in the process I have selected some photos of the places I have been to on my Journey of life...they are beautiful and have reminded me of the beauty and life in nature. It is a grounding force that I love to be in, anytime I am feeling stressed and discombobulated...I seek to be in nature, focus on the small miracles and wonders thriving just outside by door. I came across this awesome quote by John Muir, a naturalist who was a great advocate of preserving our national forests and lands.

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.

I also added pictures of people that have joined me in my journey and have impacted my life, I celebrate all I have learned, where I have been, where I am now, and where I have yet to go.

What makes me a Jarvis

• I have an innate and infinite love for Ice Cream and homemade jam.
• I love being Adventurous –it is a family value.
• I Never say never…seems there is always a way to make it work.
• I am proud of my name.
• I Take pride in working hard and the work I do.
• I am expressive and creative.
• I know what “breaking the wheel-lines” “doing sprinklers” means.
• I am not afraid of storms, would rather chase them then run and hide.
• I stand up for what I believe-we are not spineless…even if our backs are not the best ;)
• I believe in Spontaneous Planning…yes, deciding to do something or go somewhere then do it –right then, the planning part is “you have 5 minuets to pack”.
• I can and will talk to strangers.
• I am ambiguous about what I need/or want and still occasionally shocked when people don’t read my mind.:)
• Being frustrated while working is only a sign of being focused
• When focused, I am really really focused…or distracted (watching TV, being on the computer).
• I have a quirky grin.
• I love to help people-especially those in need.
• Love being outside, playing outside, and just enjoying nature.
• I think that a vacation needs to be an adventure with something risky involved –planned or not.
• I love toys…big toys like motorcycles, 4-wheelers, boats, guns, cars and cool tech-y gadgets.
• I believe in holding hands while blessing the food.
• I am animated and expressive…can perform at any moment…even be dramatic.
• I will sometimes sing or whistle while in the shower and while working.
• I love “one-liners”.
• I don’t know what it is but strangers will tell me their life story…and I know I am not the only one in the family that this happens to.
• I love the smell of the farm and the sound of the sprinklers.
• Love watching the sunset-especially on the farm.
• I can become competitive …especially with a card game.
• I love to laugh and make others laugh too.
• I don’t always tell people where I am going, or answer questions I am asked.
• I Love a good back scratch.
• I have Great memories of growing up on a farm, working as a family, eating dinner as a family, and of course playing just as hard as a family.
• I can be stubborn.
• I LOVE how animated my mom become when she tells stories…I can hear & see her now-especially stories about Howard, a crocodile, and something when she used her lips to cover her teeth –oh so funny.
• I will sing loud, even if I am not the greatest singer in the room.
• I try to see the best in everyone and make the most of every situation.
• I am optimistic.
• I love animals.
• I love swings and rides.
• Did I mention the love of Ice Cream?
• I will support others when they snack by snacking along with them.
• I like to try to make other people happy.
• When I am nervous I get a goofy grin & laugh.
• I love feeling loved, needed and appreciated.
• I do love the food at Mary’s Wonder.

From helping the other day on the farm...my favorite part is the Sprinklers...thought this was an awesome capture of the sunlight breaking through the clouds and hitting the water..ahhh just beautiful!










The rainbow was taking during a summer storm passing ...took the shoot from our Balcony. So beautiful, the whole place looked like it was covered in a warm blanket full of purples, pinks, and oranges...just beautiful!

What do You / I Stand For? It is a fun thing to think about.... I have this picture hanging in my home, everytime I see it I think about what it is I stand for and how I show it....am I doing enough?
